REVIEWS AND RAMBLINGS FROM A READER AND WRITER
Thank you for visiting my blog. This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you a bit about myself, so here we go.
I’m an aspiring writer from Dublin. I absolutely love to read, and I would say that my taste in books is fairly wide. My favourite book is American Psycho (even though it did take me about three months to read because I kept having to put it away for fear of blood-soaked nightmares; and trips to the zoo are never quite as fun anymore), but I’m a huge fan of Jasper Fforde, Gillian Flynn , Linwood Barclay and Agatha Christie, you can’t beat Poirot for a good whodunnit.
I started this blog as a way to keep me focused on writing (and maybe to vent a bit when the inevitable writer’s block hits, and no amount of coffee is able to break the curse of the blank page). Mostly that means I’ll be bothering you with writing prompts and little bits and bobs I’ve written to keep my creativity flowing.
I also love to recommend books that I’ve liked, old and new, so I put some book reviews up as well. It’s a wonderful feeling when you can share the appreciation of a good book with someone else, so I hope I can do that here. (Side note: the majority of books I review are ones I’ve bought myself and just chose to review. I do this for fun. Some I get from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review and I’ll always say so at the beginning of the post if that’s the case.)
Please feel free to comment and let me know your thoughts on anything I’m rambling about on here.
I hope you enjoy my blog xxx
